Blood wiss is a vine (perennial) and is found in many forested areas in Jamaica and also on most islands in the Caribbean. It is known to do exactly what the name implies by cleansing the blood, promote circulation, builds red blood cells due to the high amounts of iron found in the vine. Pairing ginger root with blood wiss can make a great tonic for inflammation, arthritis, and improve glandular health as well. Because of its diuretic properties, blood wiss is commonly used to remedy conditions such as kidney failure. By promoting diuresis, it also helps in controlling diseases that include hypertension, water poisoning, influenza, heart failure and liver cirrhosis.
