Mangifera Indica
The leaves of Mangifera indica, a particular species of mango, have been used for medicine in the Caribbean, and healing practices like Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. Though the whole plant can be used for medicine, the leaves in particular are believed to help treat diabetes and other health conditions.
Due to the high amounts of mangiferin, mango leaf has been shown to regulate blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics and insulin sensitivity.
